Wendy is a principal of the firm. She is a member of the California State Bar and a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law (State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization). She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Law Society of Upper Canada, and she is registered to practice before all U.S. Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Wendy practices in all areas of U.S. immigration law, with a primary focus on leading the firm’s PERM/I-140 practice group. She has represented clients with PERM labor certification and I-140 issues since the U.S. Department of Labor inaugurated the PERM program in 2005, and she has been an invited speaker at lawyers’ conferences on PERM subjects. Wendy has also served as a volunteer attorney for ProBAR, a national joint project of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and AILA to provide pro bono legal services to asylum seekers detained in South Texas by the United States government.
While earning her LL.B. degree at the University of Western Ontario (Canada), Wendy was awarded the Canada-U.S. Law Institute Writing Prize. After receiving her LL.B., she was called to the bar of Ontario as a Barrister and Solicitor. After a career as a research lawyer for the Law Society of Upper Canada, and working for a prominent Canadian national law firm, Wendy migrated to the United States, where she earned an LL.M. (Honors) degree with a concentration in Immigration Law, from Golden Gate University School of Law. Since receiving her LL.M. and being admitted to the California state bar, Wendy has engaged full-time in the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law.
